Darryon - An Aspiring Artist
After he collects his diploma at graduation, he plans on going to trade school.
“I want to be a producer in the future,” said Darryon. “I want to change the world by putting out some fire beats.”
In addition to music, Darryon enjoys running track, playing basketball, football, and hanging out with friends. He says his time with CIS Student Support Specialist Meryl Estep helped him get his grades up enough to make the track team his senior year!
“I’ll remember every time I walked into the CIS office to talk to Ms. Meryl. She helped me a lot to get through my last couple years of high school and to graduation,” said Darryon. “Ms. Meryl always made sure I was on top of my work and made sure to check in on me often. Whenever I needed help with work or just needed to talk to someone, she was always there. She always encouraged me to make the right choices too.”
“Darryon is one of those students who is a friend to all and a stranger to none. You love him as soon as you meet him. He has overcome a lot in the few short years I’ve known him, but always manages to find a way to keep smiling. He loves to make people laugh (he’s good at it too!) and was an asset to the track team this year. He has come a long way since we first started working together, and though I will truly miss seeing him every day, I couldn’t be more proud to see him graduate. Way to go D!,” said Ms. Meryl Estep!
