What are Encounter Teams?

Our heart is for Encounter Teams to be places of deep spiritual formation. From preparing and praying together as a team, to learning from and serving others together, to wrestling through the implications of what you have learned on your life back home, our hope is that Encounter Teams provide opportunities for formative community and true pursuit of life with Jesus.

ALABAMA SANKOFA

An immersive learning experience, visiting historical sites pivotal in our nation’s Civil Rights Movement to learn of our past and how we progress together going forward.

WESTERN NC

Partner with Avery County Habitat for Humanity in order to provide permanent housing for Avery County residents. Disaster recovery can span months, even years; therefore, it is essential that long term rehabilitation efforts be led from within the community and that outside assistance support those efforts.
