Something many people take for granted is access to running water. When Vigilant Hope first began talking to people who faced homelessness they learned that a lack of access to showers was a huge problem in Wilmington, NC. So they launched a shower trailer to provide hygiene supplies and hot showers throughout the week. Shower trailer hosts take names of people who are waiting for showers and let them know when it is their turn, hand out toiletries, and clean the showers after use.
