Video Content Coordinator

Position: Full-Time Hourly, non-exempt    
Reports To: Story Creative Director
Campus: Wilmington Campus
Pay Range: $19-$22/hour

 Purpose:

The Video Content Coordinator (VCC) works with the Story Creative Team to produce video content that helps communicate Port City Community Church’s story. The VCC works in collaboration with storytellers, providing expertise with equipment, lighting, environmental design, sound, and video editing. This is an in-office (non-remote) position that offers the opportunity to grow technical and creative skills while serving a faith community.

Position Specifications:

  • Must trust in Jesus Christ and actively participate with Port City Community Church.

  • Must be passionate about Jesus and his impact on people’s lives. 

  • Must be action-oriented and goal-oriented. This position requires passion, drive, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines.

  • Must be a team-oriented person who can ideate, organize, and implement Story Creative projects and objectives within budget and timelines.

  • Must be creative and able to accept critique from colleagues and clients, with multiple revisions, to meet ministry needs.

  • Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct, and professionalism.

  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Excellent organization and diplomacy skills are essential.

  • Must be highly ethical and able to process sensitive information confidentially.

  • Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility and be willing to proactively address issues according to scripture and in alignment with Port City Community Church’s mission, vision, values, and core beliefs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in team creative meetings and brainstorms.

  • Participate in seasonal and series planning meetings.

  • Acts as the director of photography on video projects for the church.

  • Takes responsibility for the Creative Suite, cameras, mixers, microphones, lighting, and other ancillary equipment.

  • Help create environments that support storytelling projects.

  • Capture video and photography for stories and Port City services and events.

  • Assist in the sound design, recording, and editing of podcasts.

  • Train and involve volunteers everywhere possible.

  • Help other ministries and departments, interns, and volunteers improve their skills.

  • Invest in your own spiritual and professional development.

  • Participate in regular staff meetings and special initiatives.

  • Other related duties as needed.

General Work Schedule

  • Full-time hourly, 40 hours. Typically, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday 9:00-5:00. Some evening work is necessary. Hours can flex as needed. 

  • All Port City staff (regardless or role, position, or typical work schedule) are required to work Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve.
