The concept of Sabbath, a sacred time set apart for rest, invites us to pause our work and trust in God's provision. Far from mere inactivity, this rhythm encourages us to engage in intentional, life-giving activities that draw us closer to Jesus, the source of true restoration and deep soul rest. As Jesus himself said, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Matthew 11:28-29

Introducing a new practice in our lives can be challenging. We have all experienced the difficulties of learning new rhythms or trying to establish healthy habits. Below are two resources to assist you in practicing this Sabbath rhythm. The first is a Guide that provides context and walks you through creating space and preparing for your Sabbath. The second resource is a Devotional with verses, reflection questions, and guided prayers.
