Creative Content Coordinator

Position: Full-Time Hourly
Reports To: Story Creative Director
Campus: Wilmington Campus
Salary: $17-$18/hour, dependent upon experience

Purpose: 
The Creative Content Coordinator works with the Story Creative Team to produce creative content, including social media posts, web pages, print pieces, and general graphic design, that helps tell Port City Community Church’s story. This role communicates on Port City Community Church's behalf in a style consistent with our brand. This role may also help with video and photography as needed. This is an in-office (non-remote) position..

Position Specifications:

  • Must trust in Jesus Christ and actively participate with Port City Community Church.

  • Must be passionate about Jesus and his impact on people’s lives. 

  • Must be action-oriented and goal-oriented. This position requires passion, drive, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines.

  • Must be a team-oriented person who can ideate, organize, and implement Story Creative projects and objectives within budget and timelines.

  • Must be creative and able to accept critique from colleagues and clients, with multiple revisions, to meet ministry needs.

  • Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct, and professionalism.

  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Excellent organization and diplomacy skills are essential.

  • Must be highly ethical and able to process sensitive information confidentially.

  • Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility and be willing to proactively address issues according to scripture and in alignment with Port City Community Church’s mission, vision, values, and core beliefs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in team creative meetings and brainstorms.

  • Participate in seasonal and series planning meetings.

  • Be attentive to stories that illustrate the bigger story of Port City Community Church and its intersection with God’s story.

  • Create engaging social media posts on popular platforms.

  • Create web pages on Squarespace.

  • Help to reimagine and refresh the Port City Community Church website as needed.

  • Conceive and create graphics for online and print media from scratch and from assets provided by other graphic designers.

  • Assist with video and photography as needed, both the capture and editing.

  • Help other ministries and departments, interns, and volunteers improve their own creative skills.

  • Invest in your own spiritual and professional development.

  • Participate in regular staff meetings and special initiatives.

  • Other related duties as needed.

General Work Schedule:

  • Full time hourly, 40 hours. Typically, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday 9:00-5:00. Some evening work is necessary. Hours can flex as needed. 

  • All employees at Port City Church are required to work Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve. 

Note: All full-time jobs are to be scheduled at 40 hours unless otherwise noted in the job description. Part time hours are to be scheduled to the amount of hours that have been budgeted for the position.
