Ashley’s Story

Port City is the reason I have any walk at all with God. Before finding it, my perspective of the Church was shameful and demeaning. At the time I was going through college, falling in love with my future husband, and working through some childhood trauma. I entered these walls with so many questions. People walked alongside me, and continued to answer my questions with “it’s all about a relationship.” Hearing that our walk with God is a relationship was transformative for me. All of our friends, our deep connections, and the openness and warmth of the people is what makes Port City home and the church we have decided to raise our children in. They are our tribe and those who will help steward our children to a healthy and loving relationship with God.
